Please include a brief author/artist bio in the content of the e-mail.

All written works may be submitted in either English or Spanish or a combination of both languages. All written texts must adhere to current MLA standards and use end notes rather than footnotes.

Unless they exceed e-mail server capacity, all materials must be submitted electronically via e-mail attachment to: info@latinoliteratures.org.  Written texts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc), plain text (.txt), and/or appropriate html file. The name of the author must not appear within the submitted text or attachment, but in the header and body of the e-mail. The word “SUBMISSION” (in all caps) must also appear in the header of the e-mail. All materials must be attached individually: one attachment file per image, per text sample, per video, etc.

Review Process:

Latin@ Literatures editors conduct all reviews of literary and artistic materials. Academic work undergoes a refereed process of assessment; the editorial board conducts an internal review before nominating texts for additional peer review. If an additional peer review is recommended, the text is sent anonymously to other professional reviewers. A final decision for publication is made upon the reviewers’ evaluation. Upon recommendation from the editorial board, academic work that is rejected may be resubmitted after revision for an additional review. Latin@ Literatures accepts work currently under review by other publications, but may chose to withdraw from review if the work is published in a publication other than Latin@ Literatures.
